I'm pretty sure you can fend off any attack of the AI by using 2-3 mounted units, even if it was 100 fully upgraded Paladins; you can literally just bait them into following a single unit around and then SHIFT click

Readthe readme for the installation. Both AIs for both versions will always be compatible with multiplayer. With that said the Definitive Ediiton version will also work for no population mods. The only thing that should be there is the settler limit. That way the AI will be able to progress to ages. Post article Articles. T3ZE.
