. #2. You could try connecting an external monitor to see if you can see the desktop on that. If yes, the problem then is related to the display itself or the cord connecting it. If no, then it could be your graphics card/GPU is going/gone. In regard to turning it off, you could try pulling the battery.
Uninstallall the graphics drivers both Intel and NVIDIA GTX driver (for the GTX NVIDIA driver use the Display Driver Uninstaller Download version ) then reinstall the last GTX driver and make sure that you have the last bios version 1.08 and install the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and update all the Intel drivers to their last versions for your Aspire
Ihave an acer aspire one d257. I noticed a horizontal line on my laptop screen yesterday. The horizontal line changes color depending on the color of the screen. On a white background, it changes to blue. On a black background, it changes to red. When i put pressure on my screen, it doesn't go away.
hiI have a acer aspire E5-573 series laptop. As soon as I turn the laptop on it goes straight to automatic repair but then goes straight to a black screen and nothing else happens it just stays on the black screen.
